TV with a paintable cable raceway

Where a wall cannot be opened, a paintable raceway carries the cords down to the outlet. It is the honest alternative to in-wall concealment, and it paints out to the wall color.

The wall here is drywall over framing, so the bracket is lagged into the studs, never into the drywall itself: we run an electronic stud finder across the full width of the bracket, confirm each stud with a magnet on the screw line, then drive 5/16-inch lag bolts into two of them. Past 55 inches a third stud or a pair of SnapToggle anchors shares the load.

A flat bracket holds the panel about an inch and a half off the wall, which is what makes it read like a framed picture; it is the right mount when the screen sits at seated eye level and faces one seat. The TV is levelled on the bracket with a digital inclinometer, because half a degree is obvious from the doorway.

Where the wall cannot be opened, a paintable surface raceway carries the cords down to the outlet; it paints out to the wall color and is the published alternative to in-wall concealment.

TV mounting is a flat rate by screen size: $129 up to 54", $159 for 55-69", $209 for 70-79", $299 for 80-94" and $399 from 95" (2 technicians). A paintable raceway is $79 per TV. The bracket is yours or ours from $49, and there is no travel fee.
