Who installs along the Wasatch Front

Along the Wasatch Front, the work is done by a vetted local network of installers that Express Mounting books, schedules and dispatches. We keep no office in Utah. Coverage runs from Ogden and Layton through Salt Lake County to Lehi, Orem and Provo, with Park City up the canyon.

Bookings made before noon qualify for a same-day install, and an installer is usually at the door 2-4 hours after you confirm.

Three kinds of house make up most of the valley: brick ramblers and split-levels from the 1950s-1980s, new stucco-and-stone tract on the edges, and older brick in the town centers. Many of them also have a finished basement with a family room of its own.

How it is mounted: Drywall on wood studs on the inside, so lag bolts into the studs.

When drywall alone is enough

Pioneer and pre-war brick in Ogden, Provo, Murray, Midvale, Bountiful and the old cores of Lehi and American Fork, often unreinforced and plastered inside.

How it is mounted: Masonry anchors in the brick face or the mortar joint, whichever lines up with the mount's holes.

Mounting on concrete

Settlement-era brick survives in the pioneer cores of Bountiful, Farmington and Kaysville. The smelter and railroad towns added houses into the 1920s, the post-war boom built the ramblers, and since the 1990s stucco tract has spread south and west as far as Herriman and Eagle Mountain.
