Field notes from Buckhead installs
Buckhead high-rises along Peachtree Road have steel-stud framing requiring SnapToggle anchors rated 100+ lbs each, not lag bolts. Mansion district fireplaces around Tuxedo Park, Chastain Park, and West Paces Ferry are typically natural stone or brick veneer over wood-stud framing, so we core-drill mortar joints for cable runs and anchor the bracket into the wood substrate behind the veneer. The Peachtree Road mansion corridor is where we run our IR temperature sweeps most often; heat off a working gas insert can push surface temps above 110 degrees F at the mantel.
The dates behind those walls explain the difference. Peachtree Heights Park was platted on land bought in 1910, Garden Hills followed from 1925 and was built out by 1941, and the Tuxedo Park estates went up between the 1920s and the 1960s. Houses from that stretch are wood framed with plaster on the original interior walls, and plaster wants a taped, staged pilot and a 4-inch lag bolt into the framing rather than an anchor set in the finish. It carries no surcharge on our price list.
The towers are the newer half of the neighborhood. The Ritz opened the door in the 1980s, the 1990s filled Peachtree Road with condos, and the 2000s added the taller luxury buildings. Those walls are poured concrete or steel stud, so our crew reads for both before drilling and carries Tapcons for the concrete and SnapToggle anchors for the steel. Building management usually wants a certificate of insurance and an elevator slot, which we arrange before the appointment rather than on your doorstep.

How Express Mounting covers Buckhead
Alex Crabinsky started Express Mounting in Atlanta in 2015; 7,874 documented installs and a top-rated reputation later, the process is dialed in. Buckhead jobs run with our own crew, off the same install checklist, the same hardware spec and the same 100% satisfaction guarantee we use everywhere in the metro. The installer who arrives has already worked both halves of this neighborhood, the 1920s plaster in the estate districts and the concrete and steel of the Peachtree Road towers, and packs for both before leaving the shop.
