Free TV Mounting Tools
Every question that comes up between deciding to mount a TV and finishing the job, answered by a tool rather than an article.
These are the calculators we built for our own installers, opened up. They run on real data — the manufacturer VESA pattern and panel weight for over a thousand TV models, and a catalogue of mounts and accessories with prices checked daily — so the answers are specific to your TV rather than generic advice. All free, no sign-up.
TV Size Calculator
What size TV should I buy for my room?
Enter how far back you sit. Returns the comfortable range, the immersive maximum, how wide the screen will be and what it will weigh.
Open the tool →Mount Finder
Which wall mount fits my TV?
Look up your exact model from over a thousand Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL, Hisense and Vizio panels, then get three mounts checked against your VESA pattern, panel weight and wall type.
Open the tool →Height Calculator
How high should I mount my TV?
Floor-to-centre height, bottom edge, the angle you will be looking up, and whether you need tilt — with a scale diagram of the wall.
Open the tool →Fireplace Planner
Can I put a TV above my fireplace?
Where the screen actually lands, the viewing angle it forces, heat clearance for your fireplace type, and whether a tilt mount is enough or you need a pull-down.
Open the tool →Wire Hiding Kit Builder
How do I hide the cables?
A complete parts list both ways — in-wall for an invisible finish, or paintable raceway for no cutting — with the right cable length worked out for your run.
Open the tool →Soundbar Mount Finder
Which soundbar bracket do I need?
Whether the bar bolts to the TV or the wall depends on how your TV mount moves. Gets that right, then the clearance and the cable.
Open the tool →Installation Price Estimate
What will it cost to have it done?
Flat-rate pricing for your TV size, wall type and any extras, across Metro Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles.
Open the tool →DIY or Pro Wizard
Should I do this myself?
Walks the whole job — TV, wall, tools, safety — and tells you honestly where it stops being a weekend task.
Open the tool →Which tool you need, by where you are
Most people arrive here mid-job with one specific question. If you are starting from the beginning, this is the order the decisions actually come in.

Where the numbers come from
The mount finder is backed by a VESA dataset we maintain ourselves: manufacturer mounting patterns, panel weights, screw specifications and source citations for over a thousand model and size combinations across the six brands that make up most of the market. Where a specific model is not in it, the tools say so and fall back to the typical pattern for that screen size rather than guessing silently.
Product recommendations come from a catalogue where every compatibility figure — maximum VESA, weight rating, supported screen sizes — is quoted from the manufacturer's own listing. When a listing does not state a spec, the tools tell you it is unverified instead of assuming it fits. Prices are refreshed daily and hidden automatically once they are more than 24 hours old.
The geometry — mounting heights, viewing angles, screen sizes, cable lengths — is standard industry practice rather than house opinion: screen centre at seated eye level, SMPTE's 30-degree viewing angle at the relaxed end and THX's 40 degrees at the immersive end.
