Buying on "fits 65-inch TVs" is how people end up with a bracket that will not bolt on. The size range on the box is about the weight and the plate; the VESA pattern decides whether the holes line up.
If your model is not listed
The VESA mount finder answers from the brand and the screen size, and the VESA size chart covers the patterns and screw sizes. Or measure: the distance between the hole centres left to right, then top to bottom, in millimetres (400 across and 300 down is a 400 × 300 pattern). Then check the weight without the stand: the 65-inch TVs listed here run from 28.6 to 85.8 lb, so a bracket chosen on size alone can be under-rated.
