Western Triangle walls: new tract and old depot towns
Most houses here went up after 1990, brick veneer or fiber-cement over wood studs, which makes for a plain stud install. The older downtowns of Apex, Fuquay-Varina, Angier and Pittsboro, and the farmhouses around New Hill, still have plaster.

- Then height matters more than the bracket. We keep the upward viewing angle from the seat at or under about 15 degrees, and when a mantel pushes the screen past that, a pull-down mount is the usual fix.
