Full-motion arm on a living-room drywall wall
- Room:
- living room
- Wall:
- drywall
- Mount:
- Full-motion arm
The arm is shown fully extended so the customer could see how far the screen comes off the wall and how it swings. The wall plate went into two studs behind the drywall, and the cables ride inside the arm's channel so nothing dangles when it moves.
Drywall carries nothing on its own, so this bracket hangs on the framing behind it. The studs were found with a stud finder and confirmed with a magnet before the first hole, then the plate was bolted to two of them with lag bolts, levelled with a digital inclinometer and pull-tested before the TV went on.
An articulating arm multiplies the load at the top of the plate, so it always goes into two studs with lag bolts and gets a loaded range-of-motion test before we leave. The payoff is a screen that faces the kitchen, the bar or the bed on demand.
TV mounting is a flat rate by screen size: $129 up to 54", $159 for 55-69", $209 for 70-79", $299 for 80-94" and $399 from 95" (2 technicians). The bracket is yours or ours from $49, and there is no travel fee.
