Hisense TV with LED bias lighting
- Room:
- bedroom
- Wall:
- drywall
- Mount:
- Flat mount
- Also:
- LED backlight
An LED strip behind the panel for bias lighting, powered from the same outlet as the TV. The strip is tucked to the panel's back edge so only the glow shows on the wall, and the TV itself hangs on a flat bracket lagged into two studs.
The wall here is drywall over framing, so the bracket is lagged into the studs, never into the drywall itself: we run an electronic stud finder across the full width of the bracket, confirm each stud with a magnet on the screw line, then drive 5/16-inch lag bolts into two of them. Past 55 inches a third stud or a pair of SnapToggle anchors shares the load.
A flat bracket holds the panel about an inch and a half off the wall, which is what makes it read like a framed picture; it is the right mount when the screen sits at seated eye level and faces one seat. The TV is levelled on the bracket with a digital inclinometer, because half a degree is obvious from the doorway.
The LED strip is fixed to the back edge of the panel and powered from the TV's outlet, so only the glow on the wall shows.
TV mounting is a flat rate by screen size: $129 up to 54", $159 for 55-69", $209 for 70-79", $299 for 80-94" and $399 from 95" (2 technicians). The bracket is yours or ours from $49, and there is no travel fee.
