Vizio lists the 2026 VQD50x-1010 (QLED) in 50, 75 and 85 inches. 5 of the 12 Vizio 50-inch models from 2024 to 2026 in this research use 400 × 300 mm; the others use 200 × 200 (7). 9 of them weigh more than this one. 18.7 lb is about 31% under the 27 lb typical of 50-inch panels, which leaves more brackets to choose from.
What changed from the 2025 Vizio VQD50R-1007
- Pattern: 200 × 200 mm on the VQD-M-0809, 400 × 300 mm on the VQD50x-1010. An older bracket fits only if its VESA range also covers 400 × 300 mm.
- Weight: about the same (18.8 lb then, 18.7 lb now).
- Screws: M6 10.2 mm then, M6 12 mm now.
- Plan on a new bracket unless the old one's range reaches 400 × 300 mm.

How often mount patterns change between model years →
Screws, studs and height
Vizio lists M6 screws for the four holes and a 12 mm screw depth. Use the screws that match that thread from the bracket's kit, and stop if one bottoms out before the plate is tight: a spacer fixes that, force does not.
The holes are 15.7 in apart side to side, close to 16-inch stud spacing, so the mount's arms and the studs line up easily.
With the center at 42 in for sofa seating, a 50-inch screen runs from about 30 in to 54 in off the floor. In a bedroom the center goes 42 to 50 in. The height calculator works it out for your own seat.
