Mounting specification

How high to mount it

Centre of the screen at seated eye level, about 42 inches from the floor. On a 83-inch panel that is a bottom edge near 22 inches and a top edge near 62 inches (5' 2"), and it wants roughly 9.3 feet of viewing distance. At this size the bottom edge sits below the top of most media consoles, so either the console moves or the screen goes higher than ideal.

If it needs to swivel

Corner installations, open-plan rooms and kitchens usually want an articulating arm. Bear in mind that a full-motion mount applies far more turning force to the wall than a fixed plate does, so at 86 lb these want solid framing rather than anchors.

What else the job needs

Two things send people back to the shop mid-install: a bolt that does not fit this panel, and an HDMI cable measured for a TV that used to sit on a stand. Both are cheap to solve before you start.
