Mounting specification

The 600 × 400 mm spacing is common enough that compatibility is rarely the problem here. Any mount whose range includes it will bolt on. This one is genuinely heavy at 125.7 lb. Everything about the install changes: the bracket has to be rated for it, the fixings have to reach structure, and you do not lift it alone.

That is roughly 16 per cent below the 150 lb median for a 97-inch screen, which gives you more bracket options than the size alone would suggest. This is an OLED panel, which matters when you handle it. OLED sets are unusually thin and light for their size, 125.7 lb across 85 inches, but that thinness means the panel flexes, and flexing an OLED is how they crack. Carry and lift it vertically, never flat, and never rest it face-down on an uneven surface while you attach the brackets.

How high to mount it

Centre of the screen at seated eye level, about 42 inches from the floor. On a 97-inch panel that is a bottom edge near 18 inches and a top edge near 66 inches (5' 6"), and it wants roughly 10.8 feet of viewing distance. At this size the bottom edge sits below the top of most media consoles, so either the console moves or the screen goes higher than ideal.

If you need to tilt it

Mounting above eye level, over a fireplace, a dresser or a tall console, means the screen should angle down toward you. These tilt mounts are rated for the G6's pattern and weight.

If it needs to swivel

Corner installations, open-plan rooms and kitchens usually want an articulating arm. Bear in mind that a full-motion mount applies far more turning force to the wall than a fixed plate does, so at 125.7 lb these want solid framing rather than anchors.

What else the job needs

Most of what goes wrong on a LG install is not the bracket. It is the screw kit that does not match the panel and the cable that is suddenly two feet short once the screen is on the wall.

The G6 does not use one pattern across the range. Your 97-inch is 600 × 400 mm, while the 55-inch is 300 × 200, the 65-inch is 300 × 300, the 77-inch is 300 × 300, the 83-inch is 400 × 400. A mount will not simply transfer between sizes here, so check the size you actually own.
