Hisense lists the 2025 U8QG (QLED Mini-LED LCD) in 55, 65, 75, 85 and 100 inches. 2 of the 14 Hisense 55-inch models from 2024 to 2026 in this research use 400 × 400 mm; the others use 400 × 200 (7) or 300 × 200 (4). 1 of them weigh more than this one. 39.5 lb is about 20% over the 33 lb typical of 55-inch panels, so read the weight rating before the size range.
What changed from the 2024 Hisense U8N
- Pattern: 400 × 300 mm on the U8N, 400 × 400 mm on the U8QG. An older bracket fits only if its VESA range also covers 400 × 400 mm.
- Weight: 41.2 lb then, 39.5 lb now (1.7 lb lighter).
- Screws: M6 on both.
- Plan on a new bracket unless the old one's range reaches 400 × 400 mm.

Screws, studs and height
Hisense lists M6 screws for the four holes. Use the screws that match that thread from the bracket's kit, and stop if one bottoms out before the plate is tight: a spacer fixes that, force does not.
The holes are 15.7 in apart side to side, close to 16-inch stud spacing, so the mount's arms and the studs line up easily.
With the center at 42 in for sofa seating, a 55-inch screen runs from about 29 in to 55 in off the floor. In a bedroom the center goes 42 to 50 in. The height calculator works it out for your own seat.
