TCL lists the 2024 QM851G (QD-Mini LED) in 65, 75, 85 and 98 inches. 1 of the 12 TCL 65-inch models from 2024 to 2026 in this research use 400 × 400 mm; the others use 300 × 300 (8) or 400 × 300 (3). This is the heaviest of them. 51.2 lb is close to the 47 lb typical of 65-inch panels, so size-rated brackets are in the right range; check the rating anyway.
What changed from the 2023 TCL QM850G
- Pattern: 400 × 300 mm on the QM850G, 400 × 400 mm on the QM851G. An older bracket fits only if its VESA range also covers 400 × 400 mm.
- Weight: 50.1 lb then, 51.2 lb now (1.1 lb heavier).
- Screws: M6 on both.
- Plan on a new bracket unless the old one's range reaches 400 × 400 mm.

Screws, studs and height
TCL lists M6 screws for the four holes. Use the screws that match that thread from the bracket's kit, and stop if one bottoms out before the plate is tight: a spacer fixes that, force does not.
The holes are 15.7 in apart side to side, close to 16-inch stud spacing, so the mount's arms and the studs line up easily.
With the center at 42 in for sofa seating, a 65-inch screen runs from about 26 in to 58 in off the floor. In a bedroom the center goes 42 to 50 in. The height calculator works it out for your own seat.
