The broadest fit: the FORGING MOUNT arm lists 275 lb and 900×600, so it clears every 98 and 100-inch set in the table with room left over. The trade-off is reach. At 42.9 inches of extension, pulling a 136 lb TV all the way out puts a lot of force on the top fasteners, so it needs solid studs or masonry and the full set of lag bolts.
The shorter arm: the USX MOUNT heavy-duty lists 170 lb and 800×600. It fits every pattern here; on weight it meets our 25% margin for every set except the heaviest 100-inch model, where it lands about a pound under. Close, but that’s the honest read.
A tilt at this size: the PERLESMITH advanced tilt lists 42-100 inches and 160 lb, enough margin for TCL’s 119.7 lb 98-inch QM7K and Hisense’s 120.2 lb 100-inch QD7, but not for the 135 lb class. Its listing doesn’t state a VESA maximum, so confirm it reaches your pattern first.
Premium, while it lasts: SANUS’s own page (checked September 23, 2026) lists the VXF830 at 65-100 inches, 175 lb and 200×200 through 900×600, and also marks it discontinued. If the listing still ships it, it fits every set in the table.
Fixed mounts for 98-100 inches: none of the fixed mounts in our catalog list both a 100-inch range and a VESA maximum of 800×400 or more, so we aren’t naming one. If you want a flush 100-inch install, search for a fixed mount that lists 800×400 and check its rating against the table before buying.
What about a 115-inch TV?
Look inside the box first. Samsung’s QN90F spec sheet lists Slim Fit wall-mount support as included on the 115-inch model only. For a TV without one, the numbers are steep: TCL’s 115-inch QM7K weighs 216.7 lb and uses a 1000×600 pattern, which is wider than the 900×600 maximum on every heavy-duty mount in our catalog. That means a mount that lists 1000×600 rated to about 271 lb or more, anchored into studs with a backer board or into masonry. At this size a professional install is worth the money.
Fixed, tilt or full-motion for a big TV?
- Fixed keeps the center of gravity closest to the wall and asks the least of the fasteners. The right default for an 85 to 100-inch TV at eye level.
- Tilt earns its place when the TV has to go above eye level: over a tall console, in a bedroom watched from bed, or high on a wall. A few degrees down cuts glare and neck strain.
