Field notes from Aventura condo installs
The Biscayne Boulevard high-rise corridor from NE 192nd Street through NE 213th Street is the heart of Aventura’s housing stock - and it’s nearly 100% poured-concrete slab construction. SDS hammer drill with 1/4-inch carbide masonry bits is the default tool for every Aventura condo install. Tapcon 1/4 x 2.75-inch concrete screws hold 250+ lbs per anchor in solid slab, with 4-anchor patterns for TVs over 65 inches. HEPA-vacuum attachments are non-negotiable for dust control in carpeted condo environments - many buildings inspect after-installation common-area cleanliness as part of HOA rules.
The exception: Aventura Lakes single-family homes (1980s tract construction off Country Club Drive and Aventura Boulevard) use standard CBS block walls, same as Kendall. Same hardware, slightly faster install.
Williams Island and Porto Vita penthouses face Biscayne Bay directly - outdoor TVs on these balconies need 316 stainless hardware throughout to survive the salt-air corrosion cycle.
