UCF-side townhomes in Alafaya: association hours, landlords and guest parking
The student-area townhomes on the UCF side of Alafaya come with more rules than a house does, and a TV install there runs on three of them. The association comes first. Townhome communities near UCF often post contractor hours and quiet hours, and the hammer drill, which is loud for a minute or two per anchor, works inside them. The landlord or property manager is second. A renter needs a written yes before anything is drilled, and some managers allow anchors only on certain walls, so the installer reads the lease note before reading the wall. Parking is third. Guest spaces near campus can be scarce on class days, so a note on where the van can stop saves a long walk with a 75-inch box. The unit itself is built like the houses nearby: furred block on the ground floor, wood stud upstairs, a shared wall between units. Anchor depth on that shared wall is set by the test hole, not by habit, and nothing goes deep enough to reach the neighbor. Roommates who each want a bedroom TV can book them together on one visit. Townhome installs run 50-80 minutes once the paperwork is clear.
