Field notes from Horizon West installs
Horizon West is new enough that the walls are predictable, once you know the house. The block-frame two-stories in Bridgewater, Lakeside Village and Seidel are block on the ground floor and wood stud above, with 10-foot ceilings downstairs. A high mount there still lands in block. Many houses in the newest villages are wood frame from the slab up, which means lag bolts and no surcharge on either floor, confirmed with a test hole.
Builder media boxes are worth checking for first: a conduit turns concealment into a quick pull, and Cat6 to a closet panel can move the streaming box out of sight. Townhomes add a shared wall that gets shallow anchors and no in-wall run.
HOA and CDD rules cover the outside of the house, not an interior TV. Lightning covers everything, so every set and the network panel get a surge protector.
TV mounting prices in Horizon West
Horizon West TV mounting is priced per screen, the same in every village: $129 up to 54”, $159 for 55-69”, $209 for 70-79”, $299 for 80-99” and $399 for 100” and up. In-wall concealment costs $99 per TV. A raceway on the wall’s surface costs $79. Anchoring into brick, stone or concrete adds the published +$99 masonry surcharge. On plaster, drywall and metal stud, there is no surcharge. In Horizon West that is a two-story’s block first floor and a block party wall, never a wood-frame wall upstairs or anywhere in the newest villages. Brackets cost extra only if you take ours: flat $49 or $69, full-motion $59 or $79. A soundbar mounts for $79. No travel fee applies in any Horizon West village.
How Express Mounting covers Horizon West
Alex Crabinsky founded Express Mounting in Atlanta in 2015, and 9,747+ documented installs have shaped the checklist a Horizon West job runs on today. Horizon West jobs run through vetted Orange County installers who carry the same hardware, work off the same install checklist, and back every job with the same 3-year workmanship warranty, held by Express Mounting. Installers on our Horizon West jobs look for the builder’s conduit in a great room before reaching for the fish tape, and test-hole any ground floor that might be wood.
