TCL lists the 2024 QM851G (QD-Mini LED) in 65, 75, 85 and 98 inches. 1 of the 13 TCL 75-inch models from 2024 to 2026 in this research use 500 × 400 mm; the others use 400 × 400 (8) or 300 × 300 (3). 1 of them weigh more than this one. 72.8 lb is about 17% over the 62 lb typical of 75-inch panels, so read the weight rating before the size range.
What changed from the 2023 TCL QM850G
- Pattern: 400 × 400 mm on the QM850G, 500 × 400 mm on the QM851G. An older bracket fits only if its VESA range also covers 500 × 400 mm.
- Weight: 68.6 lb then, 72.8 lb now (4.2 lb heavier).
- Screws: M6 on both.
- Plan on a new bracket unless the old one's range reaches 500 × 400 mm.

Screws, studs and height
TCL lists M6 screws for the four holes. Use the screws that match that thread from the bracket's kit, and stop if one bottoms out before the plate is tight: a spacer fixes that, force does not.
The holes are 19.7 in apart side to side, wider than 16-inch stud spacing, so a standard wall plate reaches a stud on each side.
With the center at 42 in for sofa seating, a 75-inch screen runs from about 24 in to 60 in off the floor. In a bedroom the center goes 42 to 50 in. The height calculator works it out for your own seat.
