Why the size alone does not tell you the pattern

The holes follow the chassis, not the diagonal. Among TCL's 2024-2026 85-inch models alone there are 4 patterns: 400 × 400 mm, 600 × 300 mm, 600 × 400 mm and 600 × 500 mm. A mount that lists your screen size can still miss the holes, so check the pattern for your exact model and size, or measure it: the distance between the hole centres, left to right and then top to bottom, in millimetres (400 across and 300 down is a 400 × 300 pattern).
