Hidden Lakes and Saddlebrook are the Keller two-story traditional in its 1990s and 2000s form: brick veneer over wood stud, drywall with an orange-peel texture, a slab-on-grade foundation, family room at the back with the fireplace. A return-air chase or the plumbing stack from the bathroom above often sits in that wall, and a single probe hole finds out before any layout marks. Studs sit on 16-inch centers; a 65-inch panel takes two 1/4-inch lag bolts seated 2.5 inches, and 75 inches and up takes four across two studs. The game room is different framing: trusses over the garage, knee walls along the sides, so the usable stud may end 5 feet up and the bracket goes in after the sweep. Standard install: 45 to 65 minutes per TV.
Marshall Ridge and the newer Keller streets went up in the 2000s and 2010s with a stone front outside and, often, a stone veneer accent wall inside. Outside stone changes nothing about an interior drywall install. Inside stone does. Manufactured stone veneer is about an inch thick over a scratch coat and cement board, and it will not hold a bracket on its own; the holding comes from the wood studs behind it. We find those studs from the edge of the wall or the room behind, mark the pattern, drill through the stone with a 1/4-inch carbide pilot at low speed so it does not crack, then drive 4-inch lag bolts into 2.5 inches of framing. The pattern stays 2 inches off any stone edge. That interior face carries the +$99 masonry surcharge. Stone-wall installs run 70 to 95 minutes.
Old Town Keller is the small, older part of town, single-story houses on tighter lots, and the streets on the Bear Creek Park side hold the early 1990s subdivisions that came right after. Simpler walls: drywall over wood stud, 8-foot ceilings in the older ones, sometimes a second skin of drywall from a remodel that adds depth and calls for a 3-inch lag. Rooms are smaller, so a 55- or 65-inch panel on a full-motion arm that swings toward the kitchen is common, and full-motion means four lag points across two studs. Outlets in the older houses are low and scarce, so an in-wall power kit is usually part of the plan. Installs run 45 to 65 minutes.
The Keller family room was built around the fireplace, and that is where the TV wants to go: brick in the 1990s houses, cast stone in the 2000s ones, stone veneer in Marshall Ridge. Cable concealment is $95 per TV in Keller, and the two-story traditional puts two obstacles in the way of a clean run. Fire blocking, a horizontal 2x4 partway up the wall in many of these houses, stops the cable at mid-height; a flex bit and a glow rod get through it without a third opening. The attic is the other. Any run crossing it meets attic heat past 130 degrees from June to September, so it goes first thing in the morning, on CL3 cable, with fiber-optic HDMI past 25 feet. Inside the wall it is standard: an opening behind the TV, one near the outlet, flush plates and an in-wall power kit. On a Marshall Ridge stone wall the cable goes through the chase beside the fireplace rather than through cut stone. Concealment adds 45 to 75 minutes.
