Field notes from Prosper installs
Prosper is new almost everywhere. Windsong Ranch, Star Trail, Whitley Place and Gentle Creek went up during the 2010s and 2020s build-out along Frontier Parkway, and the houses are large: two-story family rooms, brick and stone veneer outside, cast stone or stone veneer chimney breasts inside, often a pre-wired media room upstairs. Behind all of it the framing is ordinary drywall over 2x4 wood stud on 16-inch centers, straight and consistent because it is recent. Around downtown Prosper a handful of older, smaller houses survive, with 8-foot ceilings and less predictable framing.
Scale sets the work here more than wall type does. Long walls mean long cable runs and fiber-optic HDMI past 25 feet. Tall walls mean ladder work and a real argument about mount height, which we settle at seated eye level rather than at the top of the stone.
The clay does what it does everywhere in the metro. Blackland Prairie soil under every slab-on-grade foundation in Prosper swells in spring and shrinks by late August, so foundation movement opens a settlement crack over a doorway and closes it a season later, and anchors go into framing instead of into patched drywall near a moving joint. Attic heat past 130 degrees decides when an overhead run happens, and hail season is why a patio TV gets outdoor-rated cable and a sealed penetration through the veneer.
TV mounting prices in Prosper
Prosper pricing is flat, set by screen size and nothing else: $129 up to 54”, $159 for 55-69”, $209 for 70-79”, $255 at 80” and larger. Cable concealment $95/TV. Brick, stone or concrete adds the published +$99 masonry surcharge; drywall carries NO surcharge. Given how many Prosper houses put a stone veneer or cast stone chimney breast in the middle of the family room, the surcharge comes up more often here than in most of the metro. Every drywall wall in the same house stays at standard rate.

How Express Mounting covers Prosper
Alex Crabinsky founded Express Mounting in Atlanta in 2015, and 7,874 documented installs have shaped the checklist a Prosper job runs on today. Prosper jobs run through vetted Collin County installers who carry the same hardware, work off the same install checklist, and back every job with the same 100% satisfaction guarantee. The installer we dispatch has hung enough panels on stone veneer chimney breasts to know where an anchor can go and where it cannot.
