TV mounting services in Treasure Island, FL

Treasure Island TV mounting is flat-rate: $129 up to 54", $159 for 55-69", $209 for 70-79", $299 for 80-99", $399 for 100-inch and up. Cable concealment is $99 per TV, brick or stone adds $99. Same-day slots when booked before noon, and the installer usually arrives within 2-4 hours of your confirmation.

Treasure Island comes in two heights. The 1950s-70s block beach homes and motels along Gulf Boulevard sit at ground level, CBS with furring strips and drywall, and Helene's 2024 surge crossed the island and gutted those ground floors. The 1980s-2020s rebuilds stand raised on pilings, wood frame a full story up, from the Sunset Beach end to Isle of Capri, Isle of Palms and Paradise Island. The mid-rise condos are post-tension concrete with metal stud partitions. Expect the installer we dispatch to arrive with 1/4-inch Tapcons and a rotary hammer for the block, 5/16-inch lags for the framing, SnapToggles for condo steel and 316 stainless hardware for the salt air. Book before noon and the TV goes up that day.

Tapcons through new furring in Treasure Island's ground-level block houses

The oldest houses on Treasure Island are 1950s-70s concrete block at ground level, and when Helene's surge crossed the island in 2024 it gutted their ground floors. A repaired one usually looks like this inside: wet drywall and insulation stripped out, the block left standing, new furring strips and fresh drywall on top. Concrete block shrugs off a flood, so the TV wall is still the same CBS. The installer we dispatch drills a 3/16-inch test hole first, because a rebuild can sit on 1x2 strips or deeper 2x2 furring, and that hole shows exactly where the block starts behind the new paint. Then the hammer drill: a carbide bit through drywall and air gap, sunk 1-1/2 inches into the block and backed out every inch to clear the dust. Each 1/4-inch Tapcon is chosen by length from that test hole, so at least 1-1/4 inches of thread bites concrete instead of pine. Four anchors carry a 65-inch panel. A hollow cell takes a sleeve anchor, or the hole shifts to a solid web. Anchors in block mean the +$99 masonry surcharge. Plan on 60-80 minutes.

Lag bolts a story up in the raised homes along Treasure Island's Gulf Boulevard

From the Sunset Beach end north along Gulf Boulevard, the 1980s-2020s rebuilds stand raised on pilings, and inside they differ from the block cottage next door: wood frame and drywall, with the living floor a full story above the street. That makes them the quickest walls on Treasure Island. A stud finder, a 1/8-inch pilot to confirm the stud, then 5/16-inch lag bolts 3 inches long, two per stud and two studs on anything past 55 inches. Nothing lands in concrete, so there is no masonry surcharge. The time goes into the trip up. When the only way in is an outside stair, a 75-inch box in a Gulf breeze is a two-person carry, so it goes up on edge and rests out of the wind at the landing. The ground level under a stilt house is parking and storage, and its enclosure walls are often light panels that were never meant to carry anything, so a TV down there mounts to the structure or not at all. Fresh paint gets tape over the bracket footprint. Wall time runs 45-60 minutes on a raised Treasure Island home.

Post-tension slabs and steel studs in the Treasure Island condos

The mid-rise condos on Treasure Island are poured concrete, and in a post-tension building the slab is off limits. The steel tendons inside it are under tension, and no TV bracket is worth finding one. That rules out ceiling mounts and bolted floor stands, which leaves the walls, and there are two kinds. Partitions between rooms are light-gauge steel studs under drywall. A magnet finds them by the screw heads, and the bracket goes up on heavy-gauge SnapToggles through 1/2-inch holes, set in the plate's widest holes so a pair of studs carries the panel. The walls between units and around the columns are concrete, and those take 1/4-inch Tapcons in a 3/16-inch hole with the +$99 masonry surcharge. A knock tells the two apart in a second, and a test hole confirms it. In a Gulf-facing unit the glass takes one side, so we check which remaining wall the sofa actually faces. Sound travels into the next unit through concrete, which keeps the hammer drilling short and inside the building's posted hours. Condo installs on Treasure Island run 60-90 minutes once the TV is upstairs.

Salt air on the Isle of Capri, Isle of Palms and Paradise Island patios

Isle of Capri, Isle of Palms and Paradise Island sit on the bay side of Treasure Island with water on most sides of the lot, and the covered patio is where owners there want a second TV. Out there the enemy is salt, not rain. Zinc-plated lag bolts bloom rust within a season, and a powder-coated bracket starts to bubble wherever a wrench scratched it, so every exterior fastener we use on the isles is 316 stainless and every scratch gets touched up before we leave. On a ground-level block house the bracket goes into the CBS house wall with stainless masonry screws through the stucco, each hole primed with sealant before the screw goes in, and the masonry surcharge applies. On a home raised on pilings it lags into the framing behind the siding. The TV has to be outdoor-rated, or tucked so far under the roof that neither sun nor wind-blown spray can reach it. Power comes from a GFCI outlet under a weatherproof in-use cover, with a surge protector in line. A patio install on the isles takes 75-100 minutes.

Rebuilding on Treasure Island? Settle the TV wall while the studs are open

Post-storm rebuild rules sort the gutted houses on Treasure Island: some are repaired at grade, others come down and go back up raised on pilings. Either way there is a stretch when the walls stand open, and that is the cheapest moment to plan a TV. Ask the contractor for three things before the drywall closes. First, horizontal 2x6 blocking between the studs at bracket height, roughly 48 to 60 inches off the finished floor, so a full-motion arm can land anywhere, not just on a stud. Second, a recessed outlet and a low-voltage box behind the TV spot, joined by a 2-inch conduit that runs down to a low box by the media shelf. Your electrician wires that, since we do not wire outlets. Third, a phone photo of every open wall with a tape measure in the frame, so the studs and wires can be found later. A block house repaired at grade needs no blocking, since Tapcons can go anywhere in the CBS. We mount once the paint is dry. With that conduit in the wall, the HDMI and power go through in about 15 minutes at the $99 in-wall rate.

Gulf light at the Sunset Beach end of Treasure Island

At the Sunset Beach end the name tells you the problem. The Gulf lies due west, so from late afternoon on the sun pours through the glass on the Gulf side of a Treasure Island home, and a TV on the wall facing those windows turns into a mirror right when people sit down to watch. Placement fixes more than any setting. The best wall is usually a side wall, square to the windows, where light rakes across the screen instead of bouncing straight back. When the only open wall faces the Gulf, a tilt bracket angled 10 to 15 degrees down sends the reflection to the floor, and a full-motion arm lets the screen turn away from the glare and back after dark. On furred block that arm takes six Tapcons, and on wood frame it spans two studs. Screen center stays near 42 inches in a seated room and 42-50 inches in a bedroom. Matte panels cope with this light better than glossy ones. Before leaving, the installer sets a bright daytime picture mode and a dimmer evening one. Allow 15 extra minutes to check the sofa view before the bracket locks.

Before the installer reaches Treasure Island: what to have ready

A Treasure Island booking moves faster with five answers ready. One, the TV's model number, which tells the installer its VESA pattern and weight before the truck leaves. Two, the bracket: your own, or ours at $49 flat up to 54 inches and $69 above, or $59 and $79 for full-motion. Three, the house. Say whether it sits at ground level, is raised on pilings or is a condo, since furred block, wood frame and metal stud each take different hardware. Four, the outlet: where it is, and whether the wall is open enough for in-wall concealment at $99 per TV or needs a $79 paintable raceway. Five, the way in: a gate code, a guest space in the condo lot or room in the driveway under the house, and a note if the only way up is an outside stair. Condo owners should file the building's work order a day or two ahead. Call (470) 777-4077 between 8 AM and 8 PM, or book online. A request confirmed before noon gets a same-day slot anywhere from Sunset Beach to the north end of Gulf Boulevard.

Field notes from Treasure Island installs

Height decides the hardware on Treasure Island. The 1950s-70s block homes and motels sit at ground level, concrete block with furring strips and drywall, and the ones repaired after Helene gutted them have fresh drywall over the same CBS: hammer drill, Tapcons, masonry surcharge. The rebuilds on pilings are wood frame, lag bolts into studs, no surcharge.

The Gulf Boulevard condos are post-tension concrete with metal stud partitions, toggles in the steel, Tapcons in the concrete, nothing in the slab. Anything outside, from a Sunset Beach deck to an Isle of Capri patio, gets 316 stainless against the salt and a surge protector for hurricane season and summer storms.

TV mounting prices in Treasure Island

Every Treasure Island install is priced by the screen: $129 up to 54”, $159 for 55-69”, $209 for 70-79”, $299 for 80-99”, $399 for 100” and up. Concealment inside the wall is $99 per TV, and a paintable raceway on the surface is $79. Expect the published +$99 masonry surcharge when the bracket lands on brick, stone or concrete, and nothing extra on plaster, drywall and metal stud. On the island that means ground-level block and condo concrete carry it, while a wood-frame home on pilings or a steel-stud partition does not. Brackets are a separate line: flat at $49 or $69, full-motion at $59 or $79, or bring your own. Soundbar mounting is $79, and there is no charge for the drive.

How Express Mounting covers Treasure Island

Alex Crabinsky started Express Mounting in Atlanta in 2015. The 9,747+ documented installs since then are the reason the Treasure Island process looks the way it does. Treasure Island jobs go to vetted Pinellas County installers, who carry the same hardware, follow the same install checklist, and work under the 3-year workmanship warranty Express Mounting holds. On Treasure Island a rebuilt ground floor and a stilt house get the same first move from the installer: test hole, then anchor.

TV mounting in Treasure Island, FL: common questions

Does a Treasure Island install cost more because the house is on the beach?
No. The rate follows the screen, not the address: $129 up to 54 inches, $159 for 55 to 69, $209 for 70 to 79, $299 for 80 to 99 and $399 for 100 and up. In-wall concealment adds $99 per TV. The only wall charge is the +$99 masonry surcharge for anchors in block or concrete, such as a ground-level beach house. A home on pilings carries none.
How soon can an installer be on Treasure Island?
The same day, if you book before noon. Call (470) 777-4077 or book online. An installer from our vetted Pinellas County network is usually at your door within 2-4 hours of confirming a same-day request, at a beach house off Gulf Boulevard or a condo on Treasure Island Beach.
Some of the older Treasure Island block houses have hard plaster walls. Can a TV go on plaster?
Yes. Plaster troweled onto the CBS knocks solid, while drywall on furring knocks hollow. On plaster on block the installer tapes the spot, drills into the block with a carbide bit in hammer mode and sets 1/4-inch Tapcons. Plaster adds nothing to the price, but the CBS behind it brings the +$99 masonry surcharge. With no cavity to fish, cables run in a $79 paintable raceway.
Our Treasure Island house is one of the original 1950s block homes. What changes on an older house?
Mostly the details. An 8-foot ceiling keeps screen center low, around 42 inches for a sofa. Outlets are low and few, and an ungrounded two-prong outlet is an electrician's job before it powers a TV and a surge protector. A ground floor rebuilt after Helene may be new drywall over furring with the original block behind it, which a test hole confirms. The flat rate stays the same, with Tapcons and the +$99 masonry surcharge for block.
Who comes to a Treasure Island job, and who answers for it afterward?
An installer from our vetted Pinellas County network, working on the Atlanta crew's hardware and checklist. Express Mounting sets your flat rate when you book, and the 3-year workmanship warranty is held by Express Mounting, not by the individual installer. If a mount shifts or loosens, you call (470) 777-4077 and we come back and correct it.
