Find your TV's VESA pattern

2Screen size (corner to corner)

Pick a brand and a screen size.

You get the VESA pattern most of that lineup uses, the weight range, and mounts that fit. No model number needed.

A TV's VESA pattern is the spacing between the four mounting holes on its back, written width × height in millimeters (for example 400 × 300 mm). It is the one spec that decides which wall mount fits. Find yours above from your TV's brand and screen size, add the model code for an exact match, or measure the holes, which is the most accurate method for any TV.

How to find your TV's VESA pattern

Every wall-mountable TV has four threaded holes on the back in a rectangle. The VESA pattern is the distance between them: the horizontal spacing first, the vertical spacing second, in millimeters. To measure it yourself, hold a tape measure across the centers of the left and right holes for the first number, then the top and bottom holes for the second. A reading of 400 mm across and 300 mm down is a 400 × 300 pattern.

Any mount that lists your pattern within its supported range will fit. Weight matters just as much: the mount must be rated above your TV's panel weight, without the stand. The finder gives both for the brand and size you pick, and the exact figures when you add the model code.

Typical VESA pattern by TV size

Compiled from the published specs of 753 model-and-size listings for Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL, Hisense, Vizio and Roku TVs from 2024 to 2026. Use it as a guide: the pattern changes by brand and model year, so confirm yours with the finder or a tape measure before you buy a mount.

Frame-style TVs and very large screens

Some lifestyle and gallery TVs, such as the Samsung Frame and LG's Gallery Design models, come with the maker's own flush mount. They still have standard VESA holes, so an ordinary aftermarket bracket fits if you prefer one. Very large panels often use oversized patterns, larger than 600 × 400, that need a large-format mount rather than a typical consumer bracket. The finder flags both.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find the VESA pattern for my TV?

Two ways. The finder on this page: pick your TV's brand and screen size to see the pattern most of that lineup uses, then add the model code from the sticker if you want the exact one. Or measure: the four mounting holes on the back, center to center, in millimeters. The horizontal distance is the first number and the vertical the second, so 400 across and 300 down is 400 x 300. Measuring is always right for your exact TV.

Do I need my TV's model number?

No. The brand and the screen size already narrow it to one or two patterns, and the finder shows the most common one, the others seen at that size and mounts that clear all of them. The model code only turns that into an exact answer. Either way, measure the holes before you buy.

Where is the model number on my TV?

On the label on the back of the TV, usually near the power cord or a lower corner. It lists the model code and a serial number, and you want the model code. On screen it sits in an About or TV Information menu (on a Samsung: Settings, then Support, then About This TV). It is also on the box and the receipt, and the finder's "Where do I find my model number?" link lists the menu path for each brand.

What is a VESA pattern?

VESA is the standard hole spacing on the back of a TV, set by the Video Electronics Standards Association. It is written as width x height in millimeters between the four mounting screws; common patterns are 200 x 200, 300 x 300, 400 x 300, 400 x 400 and 600 x 400. Any wall mount that lists your pattern in its supported range, and is rated above the panel weight, will bolt on.

Does VESA depend on screen size?

It follows size loosely, but size does not fix it. The 143 2024-2026 65-inch models in the finder use 6 different patterns (400 x 300, 300 x 200, 300 x 300, 400 x 400, 200 x 200, 400 x 200), depending on brand, panel type and year. That is why the finder answers per brand, and why measuring beats guessing from the size alone.

What VESA pattern is an 85-inch TV?

Most 2024-2026 85-inch models in the finder use 600 x 400 (55 of 84), with panels from 57 to 116 lb without the stand. The mount has to list the pattern and be rated above the panel weight.

What VESA pattern is a Samsung Frame TV?

The 2026 Frame (LS03HE) at 65 inches uses 400 x 300 and comes with Samsung's own flush mount. The standard VESA holes are still there, so an ordinary aftermarket bracket also fits. Pick Samsung and your size above for the other Frame sizes.

What if my TV isn't listed?

Pick 'Another brand' and your screen size: the finder gives the typical pattern for that size, clearly labelled as typical, and mounts matched on size and a typical weight. Then measure the holes to confirm, which gives the exact pattern for any TV, listed or not.
